And the brown ones are babies, they haven't lost their baby down(which is obivously brown), thats the fur that keeps them warm and will fall off as they get older and start to swim. So they all cuddle together and the heat from their baby down warms them all up in one big clump of baby penguin goodness. And since they are babies all the adults keep them protected and try to surround the baby penguins like a barrier. Nice parenting dont you think?

They are not herding them together to stay warm. These are the penguins from South Africa. They are already warm.
