There's not Marlon Brando / Homer one from A Streetcar Named Desire!

Wow! Nice job. I knew there have been so many more than I've spotted... actually usually they're parodying films that I don't recognize, but I can tell, they're doing a take off on something... I always think AHH what film is this from?!?!?!

How about adding the names of the movies?

You missed the one from Godfather I, with the horse in the bed. In the Simpsons, Lisa wakes up with a pony in her bed as a gift from Homer
 5 Written by Nic, on 08-04-2008 03:17
And the fight scene from The God Father, when Marge get buffed up and takes revenge on her mugger.
 6 Written by TFJ, on 08-04-2008 03:37
Also missing the Close Encounters of the Third Kind parody where Homer's sculpting the circus tent out of mashed potatoes.
 7 Written by bijoux, on 08-04-2008 04:40
Also missing the Requiem for a Dream drug:ribwich scene

Great List.. Only one I'd improve would be the scene with James Bond and the laser.. while the Itchy and Scratchy clip matches, the better reference is in the You Only Live Twice (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/You_Only_Move_Twice)..

first thing i thought was the Fat Tony Sopranos opening theme song.

Great list, but what about "2001", "Mary Poppins", and all the Halloween specials?
 11 Written by jul, on 08-04-2008 05:51
There were a couple of Twin Peaks parodies too!

What about the similarities between Gil and Sheldon "The Machine" Levine from "Glengarry Glen Ross"?

i was surprised at the omission of the scene from "Duffless" where Lisa has been subjecting Bart to psychological experimentation aimed at answering the question, "is my brother smarter than a hamster?" In it, there's a brilliant image of Bart reaching for a pair of cupcakes that perfectly mirrors Alex reaching for the breasts after his 'treatment' in A Clockwork Orange. That should be up here.

Lots of Clockwork Orange references in the series. Remember when Santa's Little Helper was being brainwashed by Mr Burns? His eyes were pried open and he was subjected to film with Beethoven's 9th playing in the background ala Alex undergoing the Ludovico technique.

There's a couple from 'Altered States' as well, when Lisa uses the isolation tank, and the 'chilli-trip' episode where Marge blows away like sand.

The Simpsons episode where Aunt Selma married Troy McClure have several references with the movie "Body Double" (Brian de Palma, 1984), particularly the "tower-house" were Troy McClure lives.

My favorite parody was the thelma and louise one...
 18 Written by chuck, on 09-04-2008 11:55
well, I suppose you are aware you are missing quite a lot, as people are pointing out. I think nobody's yet mentioned Lola Rennt, in the episode with the different points of view of the same day, when Lisa runs to school.

This is all wonderful but i think another important parody which wasn't mentioned is the one with "Lord of the flies" Where they get stick on the island

A lot of nit-pickers here...so I'll try to refrain from mentioning Hank Scorpio's lair and the attack upon it (and subsequent capture of Bond)

you missed the requim for a dream parody " requim for a artery "
24 Written by Mr. Death, on 14-04-2008 22:26
Also, there is a Clockwork Orange one where Bart reaches for a couple of cupcakes.

This could definitely use scenes from the Springfield Files episode
 26 Written by Plunge, on 21-04-2008 20:30
There was one from Reservoir Dogs where Itchy and Scratchy recreate the ear slicing scene.

Wait... The Simpsons do Parodies? My god. What a revelation. I thought that they were making everything up on their own!! It was cool to see the side by side though.

Man who really cares and man who cares
 29 Written by Xander, on 23-04-2008 07:19
also missing the Resevoir Dogs opening credits sequence spoof where Lisa is saving stray animals to the K-billy's super sounds of the 70's soundtrack

He got a lot. God forbid he get them all. The show is over 10 years old they've done millions. As for putting the movie names with them, why would he waste the time? Just because you're too stupid to know pop culture doesn't mean millions of others aren't.

I remember episodes where they recreated the shower scene from Psycho and another where the baby plots an escape of a prison-like daycare a la Steve Mcqueen in the Great Escape, recreating that famous scene where Mr. Cool whiles away his time in solitary confinement by tossing a ball against the wall of his cell.
 32 Written by Ripplin, on 25-04-2008 16:14
Nicely done overall, but I have no idea what some of the movies are...
 33 Written by bruce, on 25-04-2008 21:01
ok "a clockwork orange" has almost every famous scene parodied somewhere. Sideshow bob and reverend lovejoy walking and talking of his rehabilitation. Bart being intimidated by cupcakes which lisa had electrified for her "brother vs hamster" experiment. Santas little helper underwent the same "eyes clamped open" therapy while under Mr Burns' control.

Since there are countless more references, perhaps you could invite other to submit the photo side-by-sides to cut down the work involved. Many hands make light work and with enough hands you could truly get 'em all. Also - movie titles, please. ;-)
